I’m Gayle Jones, I have been working with the Habitat Homecare team for over four years. I had a career change from a nursery manager where I worked with children for over thirty years. I started at Habitat Homecare as a carer and I was made to feel very welcome from day one as part of the team. I really enjoy my position as a carer, caring for vulnerable adults in the community, it’s a very rewarding and challenging role and I feel as if I’m with family and friends on a daily basis supporting our clients needs.

When I started with the Habitat Homecare they supported me to progress my knowledge and education within the workplace. I have now become a senior team member where I provide support to a team of highly qualified carers in order to help them progress their knowledge.

Habitat Homecare still provide me with on going education and training opportunities to progress to a higher career pathway within the company and to ensure I’m providing a high quality of care to our clients.

My name is Gillian Muir, I got into care as I wanted a career change.  I work in retail Monday to Friday and my care role with Habitat Homecare is my weekend job. I always wanted to do care as a few people I know are carers and said I would be good at the job as they thought I had the nature for it.

I found out about Habitat homecare through my mother in-law as she worked for the company and recommended them to me. Habitat homecare is a good company to work for, the office staff are fair and easy to approach if you have a problem.

I had no previous experience with care and I was very happy habitat Homecare took me on board. My confidence is grown with every shift and the staff I’ve worked for are friendly.
